Ikonopedia Announces Appointment of Brett T. Parkinson, MD as Medical Advisor

Clinical Expert Joins Ikonopedia, maker of Cloud-based, Cutting-Edge Women’s Imaging Workflow Management and Analytics Software.

For over 30 years, Dr. Parkinson served as medical director of Breast Imaging at Intermountain Health, one of the most successful breast programs in the country.  Just before retiring from clinical work earlier this year, he secured private insurance coverage by Intermountain’s Selecthealth for high-risk screening abbreviated breast MRI.  In addition to contributions to his local community as the American Cancer Society spokesperson for breast cancer, he served as Chair of the Mammography Accreditation Committee for the American College of Radiology. He also taught medical students and residents at his alma matter, UCLA, as an adjunct clinical professor in the radiology department.  He continues as a researcher at Intermountain Health.
